July 15, 2007 To The Editor, As Dr. West’s financial manger, I am appalled at your front page “smut story” that frames Devra as suspect of a host of misdeeds that border on sheer lunacy, pumped with statements that are conjured, false, inaccurate, out-dated, and out of context. In fact, nothing of the sort of what you presented is taking place other than routine financial and real estate matters. You were duly informed that Dr. West’s projects were put on hold mid-swing due to her father’s 2 year battle with cancer and subsequent death and only now has the family trust been sorted out to allow her to go forward with her original plans. You were informed that Dr. West’s proposed real estate transactions would be completed by the end of July-early August, if not sooner. You were also informed that our proposal prospectus was not distributed to the public, and was used strictly as in-house information for Dr. West’s immediate constituents. You were also shown numerous documents that disprove the farfetched and physically impossible allegations on the part of the money grubbing desperados, to include people who don’t want to pay their bills that your story sensationalizes. In every instance, a legitimate explanation has been provided that counters the mean-spirited, implausible, fictitious rantings of your source and his ludicrous website, an individual who is nothing more than a raving wacko whose claim to fame is running tabloid publications in London. You did not print the truth or make any effort what so ever to do so. You printed attention getting tabloid trash, that Dr. West, “Surya Ma”, an internationally renowned author and meditation teacher, has no intention of even dignifying. I can only assume that newspaper sales are slow in the summer time because every one is out boating and enjoying the great out doors. Geoff Reynolds |
